Children and Elders

Children and Elders, youth and old age. We are born into this world and we leave it in death. Between these markers of existence, we live in time and space which gives us our notions of past, present and future. Does this notion change during our lifetime? Are the children our future or are the elders the future of the children. It is said “Once a man twice a child” it is also said “Know thyself” and by that not just our personality but our being. The eternal questions Where do I come from, Why am I here, Who am  I, and where am I going to? I’m going to pause here and take some time to ponder these words and images.
