Creative Camera Work was founded based on the recognition of photography as a universal way of communicating that transcends our language and cultural boundaries.
We live in a world filled with images and words. These same images and words help form and define our daily existence and we have a responsibility to ourselves and to creation to be life affirming in mind, body and spirit.
As visual artists, we are grateful for the opportunity to share images anywhere on Earth, through the light of your screen. What we create and communicate through this modern technology is up to each individual. Will we share love, peace, beauty and inspiration? Can we look at and relate to life from a place of reverence and responsibility? The choice is ours.
The use of the term art medium is, to say the least, misleading, for it is the artist that creates a work of art, not the medium. It is the artist in photography that gives form to content by a distillation of ideas, thought, experience, insight and understanding.
A photograph is an instrument of love and revelation that must see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live in all things.
Is seeing believing? Is believing seeing? Perhaps the questions are more important than the answers because they start a never-ending process of inquiry. This work is a quest for perspective.
